Welcome to the web site of the Margate International Kite Festival - one of the premier kite festival in the U.K.  

The fifth year of the Margate International Kite Festival took place on the Main Sands at Margate, Kent on September 24th & 25th 2011. The weekend was a great one with all the scheduled arena events, free flying, kite workshop and a kite exhibition.

The date for 2012 is not yet agreed but will be sometime in September.

Situated in a perfect location on Margate’s golden sands the event is jointly organised by the Margate Town Partnership and The Kite Society of Great Britain.
